I tried this as well; I wasn't able to retrieve the code using guest &
the symbolic tag TIGRIS_WM_0_89_HACKED. I was able to get
TIGRIS_SEP_13_2000 (a branch I'm maintaining because we've got sites
using it) -- and I don't know what the difference is.

At first I thought the problem might be perms on some file in CVSROOT
... but then it'd be harder to explain why it works for some files.

I'll forward this along to Karl Fogel; perhaps he'll have some insight.

When I use the version correspondig to that tag (1.2.0.4), I get a bunch
of "cvs server: Updating blah/blah/blah" messages, but no actual source
code. When I checkout a fresh copy of Joist, then cd into the joist
directory and do a `cvs -d :pserver:guest@cvs.tigris.org:/cvs up
-r1.2.0.4`, all the source code that I had checked out is erased with a
"Not in repository" message.

These operations work fine with a non-guest Tigris account.

Do you mean to checked out the TIGRIS_WM_0_89_HACKED tagged version from
dublincore or tigris?

Message Josh,

As guest I receive a the following error msg from the command:

cvs -d :pserver:guest@cvs.dublincore.org:/cvs co -r TIGRIS_WM_0_89_HACKED
joist

cvs server: User 'guest' cannot access
cvs [server aborted]: no such tag TIGRIS_WM_0_89_HACKED

And I know the tag TIGRIS_WM_0_89_HACKED does exist (I looked at the cvsweb
and can see the tag).
Is this functionality restricted for the guest account?

Any advise would be great.

Cheers Tod...
